Since Hotmail sign in optionally remembers your login information between sessions, and optionally automatically signs in for you, a practical feature can quickly become a hassle when you are sharing one computer for several Hotmail users (and different email addresses). This applies in the case when several people are sharing the same computer and each using their own Hotmail account, but also when you yourself have multiple Hotmail email accounts. In both cases, if you are using the same Windows or Mac user name, and the same web browser, you have to login and logout every time you want to check emails in one of your other Hotmail accounts! Fortunately, there is a better way.
The easiest way to use multiple Hotmail accounts on the same computer without the need to sign in and sign out all the time is to use several different web browsers: since Windows Live Hotmail can remember your login and password information through "cookies", which are stored by a browser, using multiple web browsers (Internet Explorer, Firefox, Google Chrome, Safari for Windows, Opera...) will ensure that Hotmail stores a cookie for each of your email account, in each of the browsers you have installed on your computer.
This is the easiest way to check Hotmail with multiple accounts on the same computer, and will spare you from having to login / logout constantly to switch from one email account to the other: in other words, you can be signed in to different Hotmail accounts at the same time on your PC, without any conflict! If you want to login to your account just once or twice, please see how to sign in to Hotmail as a different user.
Tip: Note that if other people with whom you are sharing your computer have their own user profile, the problem doesn't apply, since web browsers will store the email account login information under the current user's profile - in other words, no conflict when you have multiple Hotmail users with different accounts on the same computer, when each one uses his/her own login and user profile.
